Still Shabbat
Saturday, January 23, 2021 • 10 Shevat 5781
10:00 AM - 11:00 AMZoomThis contemplative Shabbat service offers a slower paced, less-is-more, meditative approach to prayer. Anchored in the traditional liturgy, the service incorporates silent meditation, a handful of phrases from our liturgy, and Mishkan music to create a space to deepen your individual, emotionally resonant, Shabbat experience. We'll explore a different mode of Jewish spirituality that relates to Shabbat as a day of rest and renewal. It is accessible to those without a Hebrew background, regular Shabbat practice, or any meditation experience. All are welcome. Our first contemplative Shabbat service will be facilitated by Mishkan Builders Lori and Monte Dube, who have both trained in Jewish Mindfulness Meditation through the Institute for Jewish Spirituality.
